Lit in colour
‘fewer than 1% of students at GCSE study a book by a writer of colour’
Lit In colour was created to take down the barriers and create a more representative English curriculum in schools. The aim is to support schools in the UK to make teaching and learning of English Literature more inclusive through diversifying literature taught in schools. We were commissioned to deliver workshops which provided 600 students (in-person and virtually) with the tools to utilise literature to seek pleasure, understand one's identity and enable escapism through poetry at the Lit in Colour 2022 Student Conference.’
